The Shield: “Game Face”
Thought we’d try to get things off with a bang, so tonight we’re going to be LiveBlogging The Shield at 10pm EDT.

Charlie Jade recap: “Spin”
Those of Israelite descent had separated themselves from all foreigners. They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the wickedness of their fathers. – Nehemiah 9:2
Remember when we thought 01 Boxer was the epitome of evil?
Sure, 01 is a crazy bastard and has killed more than his share of people, but if we’ve learned one thing over the last two months it is this: 01 kills to save the multiverse. He kills to save billions. He kills to protect a way of life and peace and harmony with nature.

Mad Men recap: “Six Month Leave”
If you ever wondered what happened to Happy Loman, he ended up pissing his pants before a big Samsonite meeting and getting kicked to the curb.
Joel Murray’s always worked in his older brothers’ shadows, but tonight he showed he has all of their skills at mixing comedy with pathos. Freddy Rumsen’s always been a joke around Sterling-Cooper, in both the show’s reality and ours. But Murray’s full range was in play tonight letting us see the most human person at SC.

Welcome to the Loom
There are a lot of websites, group blogs, personal blogs, and insane scratchings on restroom walls about television. We hope this site will be different from those.
We want to engage more people in a conversation about TV, at least the TV we care about. What that means is that I’m not going to ever write a review about Survivor. I don’t watch it; it doesn’t interest me. But it probably interests one of our other writers (they’re coming, I swear.) So someone is likely to write about a show you love.

Charlie Jade recap: “The Shortening of the Way”
How do you sneeze? You just let yourself. Maybe your head hurts because you don’t like seeing the invisible people. Like, it doesn’t ‘hurt to breathe, but f you hold your breath you’re going to get a headache and then you just have to breathe anyway. So just let it happen. – Jedi Jody
W00t! That’s right m’nerds. Charlie Jade can travel. Just like his brother in arms, 01 Boxer, you just add water and he and his sea monkeys go all fizzy and take off to parts unknown.

Burn Notice recap: “Good Soldier”
They said this thing: ‘As iron sharpens iron, so man sharpens another man.’ And I realized, Proverbs 27:17? That’s you and me. You showed me the way. – Michael Westen
You might wonder how I got there, you know? I’ve been down for so long, with my ex and everyone against me, I never thought I’d find a way out of this hole. But thanks to Michael and this job he got me involved in, I couldn’t sleep. So I came downstairs to watch TV and I there was a bible program on. It was like they were talking right to me. Like God was telling me everything’s going to be okay.

Charlie Jade recap: “Things Unseen”
“You know how once in awhile you’re stuck in traffic and all of a sudden you remember a dream you’d forgotten, but for a moment you aren’t quite sure if it was a dream at all?” – Blues Paddock
In this slower moving, contemplative episode, it might not seem much really happened. After the fireworks of the last three weeks, this week is something of a pause, an interstitial between what we know and what’s coming. With a smooth, jazz-inflected soundtrack and many quiet moments between Charlie and Blues and between Sew Sew and Jasmine, this is the perfect chance to catch your breath and catch up.

Mad Men review: “A Night to Remember”
Well early in the morning, about the break of day,
I ask the Lord, “Help me find the way!”
Help me find the way to the promised land
This lonely body needs a helping hand
I ask the Lord to help me please find the way. – “Early in the Morning” -
Burn Notice recap: “Double Booked”
What’s that? You didn’t think what? What? You didn’t think Roth would ever get arrested for selling cocaine? What then chucklehead? He’s gonna flip! – Michael Westen
Oh, Mike and I go way back. ’91 or ’92, the Balkans. He’s a good kid. And he knows the score, too. I’ve taken a look at his dossier, and I’m glad he finally figured out how to get paid for what he’s good at. Still a little soft, though.
